So news has it Ashton Kutcher has been tapped to portray Steve Jobs in an upcoming biopic. I can see that.
Ever fantasize, in a perfect world, who you would cast to star in your life story? If Hollywood were to say, “This is your life, it’s time to make a biopic” who would land the role? Would you turn to an actor you admire, one with a vague resemblance, or would you pull a Howard Stern, i.e. don a wig and play your younger self, a la Private Parts?
I’m thinking along the lines of Parker Posey. She is just so lovably weird.
Parker Posey won my heart in Party Girl:
I was already a 20-something librarian, eating falafel and clomping my way around NYC in ridiculously chunky Mary Janes, when her character Mary, a reformed-party-girl-turned-library-clerk, announced: “I wanna be a librarian!” She had a made a fan for life.
Ever pondered who would play your part? Or any portrayal you’ve loved in particular? Val Kilmer creeped me out as Jim Morrison. Loved Meryl Streep as Julia.
Until he died, I thought it would be William Conrad. Now, I think it’d be Jonah Hill.
I have no idea. I’m Asian/Chinese, and there’s a distinct lack of female Asian actors in American movies–which is mostly all the film I watch.

When I heard Ashton would be playing Steve I thought it was such a weird choice, but now that I see those two pictures together… wow, it’s kind of uncanny.
I’ve been told I look like Candice Bergen and Linda Hamilton (but from the Terminator 2, not her prettier parts), and since both of them are much older than me… I’m not really sure what to make about that. I do know that I would NEVER play myself. I hate being on camera with a passion.
Wishing you continued success with the A to Z challenge,
Jocelyn
I’ve never really given it much thought. Once a random person told me I resembled Jodie Foster, but I definitely don’t see it. 🙂
I’ve never seen that film. Maybe I should add that to my queue! 🙂
Thanks for stopping by, DL! It’s a good one, fun soundtrack too!
I’ve been told I resemble two celebrities- Audrey Hepburn and Julia Roberts. I can see Audrey….but Julia…not so much. I’ve been told I have her jawline. But obviously Audrey is not an option for my movie. 🙂
I could see Audrey for you as well! Funny, I used to get the Julia Roberts thing way back when (my hair was a LOT longer and fuller and curlier, a la Pretty Woman). People would say it had to do with the way I smiled, or something about my mannerisms. OK, I’ll take that!
I think I’d probably have to put some vaseline on the lens and don a wig. I’ve been told I look like a lot of different people. Many of them are dead, and the ones that are living couldn’t pull off my complexity:)
Weird to think we might have Doppelgangers out there, living or dead, huh? True, you’d want someone to be Oscar-worthy! 😉
