SUN KINK: a buckling due to high temperature, causing the track to shift laterally and form a curve in what is otherwise a straight pair of rails. Such conditions can cause a train derailment.
Probably a term you don’t hear every day.
It’s currently the name of my first novel.
I look at those 300 sheets and am amazed – that all fell out of my brain!
Has your life ever been derailed by something, or someone?
Ever been chugging away on a straight and rigid path, only to be thrown right off track…and surprisingly, you find you’re exactly where you want and need to be?
SUN KINK.
Love learning something new…thanks for the info and best wishes on your book.
Thanks for stopping by, Monica!
I love that word and I think it makes a great title. And all the papers on the floor – looks like my office. π
Thanks Madeline! Yeah, it looks like my office too, on a better day! LOL
I love the term. Congrats on the book.
Thanks!
I’ve been thrown off track many times. I hate change, and when other people do things that upset my plans, I get a little frustrated…
Congrats on the book! I think Sun Kink is a great title!
Thanks – I like the uniqueness of it. π
I think everyone is thrown off track at some point. I used to get really irritated when my plan was ruined….but in the last year I’ve adopted an “It is what it is” motto. I can’t stress over things I can’t control!
So excited for Sun Kink! Can’t wait to read it!
Thanks, Stephanie. That’s a good motto to have…there are definitely battles to pick and other times, you gotta let it slide. π
Congratulations on the book and the agent! My life has been “sun kinked” on several occasions. I fear change so I didn’t particularly enjoy the sudden disruption in the path, but in retrospect I realized that it was a good thing.
Thanks, Pamela! It’s good to be able to admit and see the positives on the other side of things…as difficult as it is to go through. I once had a friend tell me to be more afraid of the known than the unknown, and I think I know what he means! Took me a while though.
