HAPPY RELEASE DAY, LOUDER THAN LOVE! In celebration of my debut, I am hosting a giveaway this week.
COFFEE CHAPTER QUOTE CONTEST!
Chapter one opens with Katrina and her friends hanging out and chatting in their local coffee shop. What’s your favorite line from this first chapter? Leave your answer in the comments, give the Rafflecopter a whirl, and one winner will be chosen at random on Tuesday, September 24th.
(Note: You do not have to purchase the book in order to participate: the first three chapters are available for FREE download through my publisher. But I think after reading the sampler you’ll be hooked!)
The winner will receive an exclusive Louder Than Love coffee mug (pictured) and a $20 Starbucks gift card, so you can treat yourself and your BFFs to some coffee and girl-bonding time! (Please don’t steal any chocolate-covered goodies like Marissa does in the book, though.) I’m also throwing in some Louder Than Love guitar picks and pins to sweeten the deal.
This quote from Kat later in the book inspired the design of the coffee mug. I wove the main characters’ names and other inspiring words into the heart-shaped design on the opposite side. I hope it makes you smile as you sip!
“At his feet were two Starbucks cups of coffee, which almost broke my heart. Our fourth date and the man not only brings coffee, but I knew it was exactly how I liked it, too: one sugar, two splashes of skim. Adrian was the type of guy who noticed the details.”
Good luck!
To enter, fill out the rafflecopter below, and be sure to leave your comment! (Open to US residents only.)
Congrats, Melanie! Rafflecopter randomly selected you as the winner! I will be emailing you shortly.
“She suspended the cracked jewel case between her polished talons for inspection.” Favorite line explanation by Haiku: Jewel cases crack/ Especially favorites/Inevitably
“Brunches with all-you-can-drink mimosas, lounging in Sheep Meadow reading the Style section while Pete lay with his head on my lap working on the crossword puzzle… Okay, I will stop for now.”
My favorite from chapter one:
“And there was an energy, like he really believed in the power and magic of music and wasn’t just out to collect a paycheck.”

2 more days to comment, folks! Great quotes so far…keep them coming!
I started at 8:30 last night and finished reading at 6 this morning… I did have a couple of loo breaks!
What a great story, and so well told. From the expression of her grief to his spiral into fame and drugs, his “Englishness” and way with words, her stead-fast love for her husband and their daughter, her friends, all of it compellingly written right up to the end.
I loved it. I love it and cannot wait to read more from you.
It was great.
Thank you!
Thanks, Claudine – I myself spent plenty of nights way past my bedtime unable to books down, so I consider this the ultimate compliment! I can’t wait to WRITE more for you. 🙂
I have a few lines……
I dreamed about Adrian Graves that night. Which was weird and improbable, since I had never laid eyes on the man. I blamed all that talk with Marissa. And the Chocolate.
I like this line! “He had a laugh that you just wanted to bottle up for future use on a cloudy day.”
Heidi Christine has my favorite line! For all the lovely readers out there who would love to read Louder Than Love, I have a giveaway on my blog for two ebook copies! Also, Jessica was so very gracious and gave me a wonderful author interview! Please stop by and check it out!

Thanks for giving people the chance to win, Beth! And keep the comments coming, people! You’ve got all week.
“Abby,” he announced, “after Abby Road.” and it was perfect. Exactly thirty years to the day The Beatles released their masterpiece, we introduced ours to the world.
“You need a single chick’s eye, not these yapping yentas trying to Martha Stewart you to death.”
That’s my pick!

Bought the book, will be reading! And back to comment.
